day 2

One of my goals for the month is to blog everyday.  Not a lot has happened so far in 2016, but I am feeling a sense of hope and inspiration that I pray will last throughout the year.

I started the year with a hike at River Place Trail.  Hiking in the Hill Country is not the same as hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, however, it is still great.  There is something about walking and climbing a trail that clears my mind and gives me a sense of calm.  The two hours that I spent on this trail were just what I needed to start this new year.

Today was a little more low-key: a community CrossFit workout, coffee at Redhorn, and a trip downtown with a friend to Trader Joe’s.  I love downtown Austin and wish I could live there.  But, it’s far from work so I’ll just visit on the weekends for now.

I’m getting ready to meet some people out on Rainey street even though it’s raining.  Oh, the irony.

So far, I’m liking this new year.  I have a feeling that something good is about to happen…here’s to renewed hope!
